Unauthorized module toggling via flawed nonce validation
Published May 1, 2026 · Updated May 1, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Ultimate Dashboard 3.8.14 and earlier allows remote attackers to toggle WordPress plugin modules. The handle_module_actions function uses a flawed nonce-validation conditional, allowing forged activation or deactivation requests to pass the request-authenticity check. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link or perform an equivalent action; impact is limited to unauthorized module state changes.
