Safari script execution via unneutralized error_description parameter
Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026
Reflected XSS in Gainsight Assist allows remote attackers to execute script in Safari when a user opens a crafted OAuth callback URL. The app.gainsight.com callback renders attacker-controlled error_description content as HTML, and Safari's onpagereveal event bypasses the WAF. Exploitation requires a victim to open the malicious URL in Safari; the demonstrated payload can spoof the page, redirect the browser, or exhaust client resources through a loop.
