Active Directory credential disclosure via settings endpoint
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Information disclosure in Suprema BioStar 2 before 2.9.12 allows remote attackers to obtain Active Directory credentials via a crafted GET request. The /api/v2/setting/adserversetting endpoint returns the configured service-account credentials in cleartext instead of withholding the password from its response. Suprema's API collection marks the endpoint as API-key authorized, but the advisory does not identify the privilege level needed to retrieve the credentials.
