Unauthenticated memory deletion via unchecked record identifier
Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026
Missing authentication and authorization in the mem0 1.0.0 server allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary memory records. The DELETE /memories/{memory_id} handler accepts a caller-supplied record identifier and performs deletion without authenticating the caller or checking ownership. No credentials are required; knowledge or discovery of a memory identifier is enough to cause permanent data loss and service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
