Arbitrary code execution via unsafe argument eval
Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026
Code injection in Trusted-AI Adversarial Robustness Toolbox 1.20.1 and earlier allows attackers to execute Python code via crafted Kubeflow arguments. The robustness_evaluation_fgsm_pytorch.py script passes --clip_values and --input_shape strings directly to eval(), which interprets attacker-supplied expressions rather than parsing data. Exploitation requires control of those command-line values through pipeline configuration or an automated invocation and grants code execution in the evaluation process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
