CVE-2026-31216Network attack vector

Unauthenticated file deletion via unprotected storage endpoint

Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026

Arbitrary file deletion in ModelEngine-Group nexent 1.7.5.2 allows remote attackers to delete MinIO objects through the storage API. The DELETE /storage/{object_name:path} endpoint accepts a user-controlled object name and invokes MinIO deletion without authentication, authorization, or input validation. Network access to the backend is sufficient, and successful requests destroy stored data and can interrupt dependent services.
