Unauthenticated command execution via PPPoE service name
Published Apr 23, 2026 · Updated Apr 23, 2026
Command injection in TOTOLINK A3300R firmware 17.0.0cu.557_B20221024 allows remote attackers to execute commands via a crafted request. The cstecgi.cgi handler passes pppoeServiceName from setIpv6Cfg into Uci_Set_Str, which formats it with sprintf before CsteSystem sends the resulting command to execv. Network access to the router's CGI endpoint is sufficient; injected shell syntax runs commands in the appliance context without user interaction.
