Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized password
Published Apr 23, 2026 · Updated Apr 23, 2026
Command injection in ToToLink A3300R firmware 17.0.0cu.557_B20221024 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via an HTTP password value. The sub_40E920 handler passes the password to Uci_Set_Str, which uses sprintf to build a command that CsteSystem sends to execv without neutralizing shell syntax. Network access to cstecgi.cgi is sufficient without authentication, and injected commands run with the CGI process privileges.
