Authenticated file disclosure via unchecked path arguments
Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026
Path traversal in OpenPLC v3 allows remote authenticated users to read process-accessible files through command-line path arguments. The glue_generator.cpp binary passes unvalidated path arguments directly to fopen, ifstream, and ofstream, then prints parsed input content. Exploitation requires the ability to execute the binary and is limited to data readable by its process account; only matching parsed fields are printed.
