Browser script execution via unsanitized password imports
Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026
Stored XSS in Teampass 3.1.5.16 and earlier allows attackers to execute JavaScript in users' browsers through imported passwords. The password import flow stores untrusted field data without sanitizing or output-encoding it, then the items page renders that data as active browser content. Execution occurs when another user views an imported password, exposing that viewer's Teampass session and in-application actions to the payload.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
