Authenticated denial of service via unbounded timeRangeName copy
Published Apr 6, 2026 · Updated Apr 6, 2026
Buffer overflow in UTT Aggressive HiPER 1200GW 2.5.3-170306 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt routing service. The /goform/formConfigDnsFilterGlobal handler passes an unbounded timeRangeName value to strcpy when sourceIP is ipRange, overflowing a fixed destination at offset 136. Administrator credentials and adjacent-network access are required, and the published consequence is denial of service rather than data access or modification.
