Privilege escalation via unverified profile requests
Published Jun 29, 2026 · Updated Jun 29, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Squidex CMS 7.21.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to escalate privileges through the account profile endpoint. The IdentityServer account profile endpoint accepts state-changing browser requests without verifying that the authenticated user intended them. Exploitation requires an authenticated victim's browser to submit an attacker-crafted request, letting the request act with that victim's account privileges.
