Memory disclosure and crash via unchecked matrix columns
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in International Color Consortium iccDEV before 2.3.1.5 allows local users to read memory or crash via a crafted ICC profile. CIccTagSparseMatrixArray::Read accepts matrix rows whose reported column counts exceed the declared column count, so CIccXmlArrayType<>::DumpArray reads beyond the heap allocation. Exploitation requires user interaction to process the crafted file, with demonstrated consequences limited to an out-of-bounds read and process crash.
