Crash via unchecked select-case array traversal
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
Heap buffer overflow in International Color Consortium iccDEV before 2.3.1.5 allows local users to crash applications via a crafted ICC profile. CIccCalculatorFunc::InitSelectOp() traverses select and case operations without ensuring the next operation remains within its heap array. Processing the profile requires user interaction; the demonstrated outcome is an out-of-bounds read and crash, while the advisory also reports memory corruption.
