Rate-limit bypass via uncounted batch sub-requests
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
Rate-limit bypass in Parse Server before 8.6.23 and 9.0.0 through 9.5.2-alpha.9 allows remote attackers to exceed request limits. The /batch handler routes each sub-request directly through the Promise router instead of the Express middleware that enforces rate limits. Exploitation requires built-in rate limiting on a targeted endpoint and permits excess requests rather than direct data access or code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
