Phishing via opener-enabled external links
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Reverse tabnabbing in affected WSO2 API Control Plane and API Manager portals allows remote attackers to redirect users to phishing pages. External-link controls open attacker-chosen destinations in a new tab without consistently severing window.opener, so the destination can rewrite the trusted originating window. A user must click the malicious link; the resulting trusted-context redirect supports credential theft and unauthorized actions but does not interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.5.0 <4.5.0.54
