Arbitrary file read via unrestricted module fallback
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
Path traversal in Harttle LiquidJS before 10.25.0 allows attackers to read arbitrary files through crafted template paths. The Loader.candidates method accepts the require.resolve fallback path without checking that it remains inside an allowed template root. Exploitation requires attacker control of layout, render, or include content, or of a dynamic filepath while dynamicPartials is enabled by default.
