CVE-2026-30948Network attack vector

Account takeover via executable SVG uploads

Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026

Stored XSS in Parse Server before 8.6.17 and 9.0.0 through 9.5.2-alpha.3 allows remote authenticated users to steal session tokens. The default fileExtensions denylist accepts SVG names, and the file handler serves their active content inline as image/svg+xml without protective headers. File upload is enabled for authenticated users by default; a victim must open the stored SVG, after which script runs in the server origin and can take over the victim's account.
