Unauthenticated data disclosure via missing LiveQuery CLP checks
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Parse Server before 8.6.16 and 9.0.0 through 9.5.2-alpha.2 allows remote attackers to read LiveQuery events. ParseLiveQueryServer creates subscriptions without calling SchemaController.validatePermission on the target class's CLP, then delivers matching object changes. LiveQuery and CLP must both be configured; no account is required, and the exposure is limited to real-time object-event data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
