Service interruption via unbounded REST and GraphQL queries
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
Resource exhaustion in Parse Server before 8.6.15 and 9.0.0 through 9.5.2-alpha.1 allows remote attackers to interrupt service. REST subquery and include nesting and GraphQL selection depth and field count are processed without limits, consuming CPU, memory, and database connections. Exposure of either API is sufficient; crafted unauthenticated queries can exhaust the server resources available to legitimate requests.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
