Unauthenticated secret disclosure via unfiltered configuration API
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
Information disclosure in Nicolargo Glances before 4.5.1 allows remote attackers to read configuration secrets through its REST API. The /api/4/config handler serializes self.config.as_dict(), whose nested loops copy every section and option from glances.conf without filtering sensitive keys. When web-server mode is network reachable without a configured password, unauthenticated requests expose backend credentials, API tokens, JWT signing keys, and SSL key passwords.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
