Authenticated browser-session compromise via stored field injection
Published Mar 9, 2026 · Updated Mar 9, 2026
Stored XSS in facileManager fmDNS before 6.0.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser. The user-comment, DNS template-name, and image-branding fields store attacker-controlled attribute text that later enters HTML without sufficient output encoding. Any account can plant a profile payload, but execution requires a victim to revisit Edit Profile or an administrator to open user editing; the script can read or alter data available to that browser session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
