Cross-tenant data disclosure via incomplete query filtering
Published Mar 7, 2026 · Updated Mar 7, 2026
Improper access control in Tencent WeKnora before 0.2.12 allows remote authenticated users to read other tenants' sensitive data. In internal/utils/inject.go, WithSecurityDefaults permits queries to the messages, embeddings, and models tables, while WithTenantIsolation omits them and therefore adds no tenant_id filter. Any user-level tenant account that can invoke database_query through an AI prompt can retrieve cross-tenant API keys, model settings, and private messages.
