Account access via omitted DDP login checks
Published Mar 6, 2026 · Updated Mar 6, 2026
Authentication bypass in affected Rocket.Chat releases allows remote attackers to access accounts through the enterprise DDP Streamer. The Account.login method skips the TOTP enforcement and active-account validation performed by the standard Meteor login flow. Possession or discovery of a valid password is still required, but password spraying can bypass 2FA and deactivated accounts can regain access.
