Authenticated file disclosure via restored sed script
Published Apr 8, 2026 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
External file-path control in TP-Link Archer AX53 v1.0 before 1.7.1 Build 20260213 allows attackers to read device files via a crafted backup. A restored certificate archive can overwrite /etc/openvpn/crt.sed, which build-ovpn-crt later executes as a sed program while exporting an OpenVPN client profile. Administrative access from an adjacent network is required to upload the backup and invoke OpenVPN export; selected file contents are returned in the exported profile.
