Client re-homing via unauthorized configuration URI
Published Mar 5, 2026 · Updated Mar 5, 2026
Missing authorization in RustDesk Client 1.4.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to replace server settings through a crafted URI. flutter/lib/common.dart passes rustdesk://config/ data to importConfig() without authorization, silently importing attacker-selected server configuration. Opening the URI is required; the resulting API, relay, and rendezvous destinations can route later client traffic through attacker-controlled infrastructure.
