Administrator account takeover via XAJAX SQL injection
Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026
SQL injection in SourceBans Material Admin before 1.1.6 allows remote attackers to overwrite administrator account data through XAJAX. ChangeAdminsInfos applies HTML filtering to vk and skype values, then concatenates them into an SQL UPDATE statement without escaping single quotes, allowing injected assignments to rewrite other columns. A low-privileged administrator can escalate directly; an external attacker must induce an administrator with an active session to open a crafted GET link, enabling account takeover.
