Authenticated command execution via unsafe shell concatenation
Published Feb 24, 2026 · Updated Feb 24, 2026
OS command injection in HummerRisk 1.0 through 1.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through cloud compliance scans. The fixedCommand method directly concatenates attacker-controlled cloud region, proxy, and credential fields into shell command strings that CloudTaskService executes. Access to create or modify cloud accounts and trigger a scan is required; successful exploitation runs commands with the HummerRisk application's privileges.
