Authenticated command execution via unvalidated fileName
Published Feb 24, 2026 · Updated Feb 24, 2026
OS command injection in HummerRisk 1.0 through 1.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through a dry-run request. CloudTaskService reads fileName from parameter.defaultValue, concatenates it into a Prowler command, and passes the string to /bin/sh -c without validation. Cloud-task dry-run permission is required; injected commands run immediately with the HummerRisk service account's privileges.
