Authenticated OS command execution via stored regionId
Published Feb 24, 2026 · Updated Feb 24, 2026
Command injection in HummerRisk 1.5.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands through a crafted regionId. ResourceCreateService stores the regionId from cloud-task creation and later concatenates it into an rm -rf cleanup command passed to /bin/sh -c without validation or shell escaping. Cloud-task creation permission is required; injected commands run with the HummerRisk service account's privileges after task completion.
