Remote code execution via unchecked MCP commands
Published Apr 15, 2026 · Updated Apr 15, 2026
Command injection in Agent Zero 0.9.8 allows remote attackers to execute operating system commands through External MCP Server configuration. The feature accepts arbitrary command and args fields from MCP JSON and launches them without validation, sanitization, or an approved allowlist. A network-reachable UI is required; commands run with Agent Zero process privileges and can expose data, alter the host, or interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
