Remote code execution in affected Time4Popcorn releases for Windows, macOS, and Android allows man-in-the-middle attackers to run supplied updates. The platform updaters trust update responses delivered over an insecure channel, allowing substituted packages to be accepted and launched. Traffic-manipulation access is required; Windows 6.2.1.18 and earlier and macOS 6.2.1.17 and earlier install silently as SYSTEM or root, while Android 3.5.0.173 and earlier requires approval of the supplied APK.
