Unauthenticated code execution via unsafe ZMQ deserialization
Published Mar 12, 2026 · Updated Mar 12, 2026
Unsafe deserialization in SGLang 0.5.5 through 0.5.9 allows remote attackers to execute code through encoder disaggregation. In encode_receiver.py, two ZMQ message paths pass untrusted bytes directly to pickle.loads(), which reconstructs attacker-controlled objects. Exploitation requires the encoder disaggregation feature with the ZMQ transfer backend enabled and its broker port reachable over the network.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
