Credential theft via unsandboxed iframe overlay
Published Jun 2, 2026 · Updated Jun 2, 2026
Stored HTML injection in usememos Memos 0.26.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to harvest credentials through malicious memos. The MemoContent SANITIZE_SCHEMA permits span style attributes and iframe elements without sandboxing, so fixed-position CSS can place attacker-controlled content across the viewport. Exploitation requires a crafted memo and a victim who views it; the overlay retains the legitimate address bar while presenting a spoofed login page.
