Script execution via unsanitized purchase message
Published Mar 30, 2026 · Updated Mar 30, 2026
Reflected XSS in SourceCodester Sales and Inventory System 1.0 allows remote attackers to inject script through a crafted msg parameter. The add_purchase.php page places the msg query value into its HTML response without sanitizing or encoding it for the output context. Exploitation requires a user to follow the crafted URL, after which the script runs in that user's browser context and can read or modify session-accessible data.
