Administrator session compromise via unsanitized msg reflection
Published Mar 30, 2026 · Updated Mar 30, 2026
Reflected XSS in SourceCodester Sales and Inventory System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script through a crafted msg parameter. The add_sales.php page reads the msg value from a GET request and reflects it into HTML without sanitization or output encoding. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to follow the crafted URL, after which the script runs in the administrator's browser context and can read page data or issue same-origin requests.
