Administrator-session script execution via unencoded msg parameter
Published Mar 30, 2026 · Updated Mar 30, 2026
Reflected XSS in SourceCodester Sales and Inventory System 1.0 allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser. The add_category.php page inserts the GET msg parameter into its response without output encoding, so a crafted URL renders attacker-controlled HTML. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open the URL, enabling script execution in that authenticated application context.
