Loan-plan corruption via unchecked negative duration
Published Apr 1, 2026 · Updated Apr 1, 2026
Improper input validation in SourceCodester Loan Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to create invalid loan plans. The ajax.php?action=save_plan endpoint accepts a negative months parameter without enforcing a positive integer and stores the resulting negative duration. Administrative access is required, and the malformed plan corrupts loan-duration data used by schedule and due-date calculations.
