Local administrator command execution via PDF printing
Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 24, 2026
Local privilege escalation in Scheidt & Bachmann entervo HMI before V2 R5 P0 M5 allows local users to execute commands as administrator. The Restricted Access Mode opens the application manual in an external PDF viewer whose print workflow exposes Windows Explorer outside the kiosk boundary. An authenticated low-privileged account with local HMI access can use that exposed operating-system interface to run arbitrary commands with local administrator rights.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Published CVSS scores
No CVSS assessment is available in this record.
CVSS describes severity. EPSS estimates exploitation probability.
