Stored XSS via unsanitized lead notes
Published Feb 24, 2026 · Updated Feb 24, 2026
Stored XSS in Horilla HRMS 1.0.0 through 1.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted lead note. The Leads Notes Summernote path stores event-handler HTML and global.js renders it into editable DOM content without sanitization. A user must open the stored note in the editor, where the script executes within that user's browser context and can act with the user's application access.
