Unauthenticated device control via exposed HTTP API
Published May 7, 2026 · Updated May 7, 2026
Improper authorization in Optoma CinemaX P2 firmware TVOS-04.24.010.04.01 allows remote attackers to control the projector via its HTTP API. The HTTP service on TCP port 2345 accepts unauthenticated GET and PUT requests across 74 actions, returning configuration data and changing device settings. Network reachability alone permits changes to audio, brightness, power, display modes, and network protocols, including enabling TELNET.
