Unauthenticated command execution via unchecked shell substitution
Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026
OS command injection in Ridvay Code 0.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through an auto-approved tool call. The command validator recognizes an allowed Git command but fails to reject shell substitution syntax in its arguments. An unauthenticated attacker can embed $(...) or backticks in a git log --grep argument, causing the underlying shell to run the substituted command without user interaction.
