Unauthenticated code execution via newline separator
Published Mar 30, 2026 · Updated Mar 30, 2026
OS command injection in DSAI-Cline 1.1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through auto-approval. The command-validation parser checks listed shell operators but accepts a raw newline, then marks the entire input safe while PowerShell interprets that newline as a command separator. No authentication or user interaction is required; malicious code placed after a whitelisted command executes in the extension host's context.
