Unauthenticated command execution via Windows parser mismatch
Published Mar 27, 2026 · Updated Mar 27, 2026
OS command injection in MatterAI Axon Code 4.123.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands on Windows. The auto-approval module applies Unix shell-quote rules, causing Windows CMD caret escapes to conceal an ampersand connector inside a purported Git argument. No account or user interaction is required; a crafted tool-call command that passes the Git allowlist executes through CMD with the agent's privileges.
