Code execution via path-traversing file import
Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026
Arbitrary file overwrite in UXGROUP LLC Voice Recorder 10.0 allows attackers to execute code or expose data through file import. PlayRecordingActivity accepts filenames and content supplied by a malicious Android app and follows path traversal into the recorder's internal storage. The victim must open the malicious app; overwritten files can leak login state, corrupt configuration or executables, or prevent Voice Recorder from launching.
