Arbitrary file overwrite via imported path traversal
Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026
Path traversal in TA/UTAX Mobile Print 3.7.2.251001 allows attackers to overwrite internal files through the file import process. The com.kyocera.kyoprint.KyoPrintKM component accepts an attacker-controlled filename and content without restricting traversal outside the import destination. Exploitation requires a malicious Android app to run on the device; overwriting critical configuration or executable files exposes data, crashes the app, prevents launch, or executes code.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
