Session hijacking via unsanitized user documentation
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Beta Systems Software AG ANOW! Automate 3.3.1.90 allows remote authenticated users to hijack sessions. The documentation parameter accepts URL-encoded HTML without server-side sanitization and renders it as active markup when User documentation is opened. A low-privileged account with permission to edit an entry can persist JavaScript that executes when an administrator views it, exposing the administrator's JWT and enabling actions in that session.
