Authenticated command execution via lost RestartAction context
Published Mar 6, 2026 · Updated Mar 6, 2026
Authentication context confusion in OliveTin before 3000.11.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute unauthorized configured actions. RestartAction creates a new request without caller headers or cookies, so StartAction resolves the request as the guest account. Exploitation requires guest.exec=true, a restricted authenticated user, and an accessible RestartAction endpoint; impact is limited to configured shell actions.
