Authenticated router crash via unchecked except copy
Published Feb 23, 2026 · Updated Feb 23, 2026
Buffer overflow in UTT HiPER 810G 1.7.7-171114 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to crash the router via a crafted except parameter. The formP2PLimitConfig handler passes the attacker-controlled except value to strcpy for an internal buffer without checking its length. Access to the HTTP management interface and valid low-privilege credentials are required; the published proof of concept demonstrates an overflow and service interruption, not code execution.
