Browser script execution via unescaped search input
Published Apr 22, 2026 · Updated Apr 22, 2026
Reflected XSS in Silverpeas Core before 6.4.6 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a user's browser through AdvancedSearch. AdvancedSearch places a crafted parameter in its HTML response without output encoding, causing an injected event handler to execute as browser content. A user must open the crafted request, and the resulting script runs within that user's Silverpeas browser context.
